Principle Considerations

Delegates should be aware of the following principal considerations when selecting their modules:
  • It is mandatory that the selection of modules should provide a balance between the technical modules on the one hand and the management and business modules on the other;
  • It is strongly recommended that delegates should take at least one module from each of the areas of Aerospace, Design, Manufacture and Management;
  • There are certain exclusions depending upon previous qualifications which do not permit the student from taking a module which reflects or duplicates academic courses already taken, either at the undergraduate or postgraduate level;
  • Some modules have recommended prerequisites. These modules assume a certain level of understanding, which should be acquired by taking the recommended pre-requisite modules first. Alternatively, the student should demonstrate that he/she has already acquired an appropriate understanding of the subject area from experience and/or other courses;
  • The University of the West of England has laid down specific requirements, as explained in UWE awards.
