Awards

The CPDA Postgraduate awards are part time courses, typically involving attendance on individual 10 credit modules delivered over a duration of 3 to 5 days.

PG Certificate in: Aerospace
60 Credits Maximum period of study 2 years

Compulsory modules
• None

Core modules

• A minimum of two core modules (20 credits
• Modules must be from at least two of the four areas of Aerospace Technology, Design, Manufacture and Management.

 

Optional modules

• Maximum of 40 credits from the four areas Aerospace, Design, Manufacture and Management.

PG Diploma in: Aerospace
120 Credits Maximum period of study 3 years

Compulsory modules
• ‘Introduction to Aeronautics’ must be completed by any student without an Aero-based first degree.

Core modules
• A minimum of four core modules (40 credits)
• Modules must be from the four areas of Aerospace Technology, Design, Manufacture and Management.

 

Optional modules

• Maximum of 80 credits from the four areas Aerospace, Design, Manufacture and Management.

MSc in: Aerospace
180 Credits Maximum period of study 5 years

Compulsory modules
• ‘Introduction to Aeronautics’ must be completed by any student without an Aero-based first degree.
• Project module UFMETM-60-M of 60 credits

Core modules
•A minimum of four core modules (40 credits) is required as part of the final Diploma awarded. Modules must be from the four areas of Aerospace Technology, Design, Manufacture and Management.

Optional modules

• Maximum of 80 credits from the four areas Aerospace, Design, Manufacture and Management.

• Up to 90 credits can be from Management modules. Note that students wishing to use the award for Chartered Engineer Registration may have to limit Management modules, as per the relevant Institution’s requirements.
