The Delegates Association
The CPDA is
in the process of setting up a Delegates’ Association
to include current and former students. It has been recognised for
some time that this would be of benefit to both the scheme and the
delegates. The Association has the backing of the CPDA Management Board,
and an input to the Association will be made by a former CPDA Graduate,
Patrick Williams, who is a member of the Board, representing INBIS
the Engineering Consultancy.
It is still early days but based on feedback we have received from
delegates the purpose of the Association will be to:
- Act as a voice for current delegates so that they can input
into the structure and content of the Scheme;
- Keep former delegates involved with the Scheme;
- Act as a networking opportunity where delegates can exchange business
ideas and opportunities;
- Provide support during delegates course of study. An opportunity
to provide each other with advice, support and information on
modules and projects;
- An information point where both current and former delegates can
find out about forthcoming events and activities, module venues/dates
and project planning sessions;
- Provide information regarding relevant points from committees and
Board meetings which directly effect the delegates.
In the future it is hope that we will be able to hold some social
events but at this stage we are just gathering ideas as to how the
Association should be set up. If you have any ideas or would like to
get involved then please complete the feedback form below. Remember
this is your Association so we need your support to make it successful
and allow you to have an input into the Scheme. We would therefore
like to encourage some ideas and representation from current delegates
in the development of the Association.
