The Project - Getting Started

When should you start thinking about your project?

All delegates are encouraged to start thinking about projects after they have completed six of their modules and are still at the stage when they are eligible for both University of the West of England (UWE) and University of Bristol (UoB) awards. The CPDA Office will contact you when you have completed six modules to invite you to the Project Seminar. Up until this stage you must make sure that you are eligible for an award at both universities, as it is your project which will determine the awarding university for your degree. The University who supervises your project will be the one who awards your final degree.

Delegates will not be asked to produce a project proposal at this point. In the majority of cases, they are still too early in their programme to determine this. At this stage, they just need to be reminded of the work ahead and to prepare themselves for the challenge. Delegates are encouraged to start thinking about the subject area that they would like to cover and to start talking to the appropriate people within their company.
