Scheduling The Project
It is stressed at the Seminar that proper scheduling/project
management are required to support the project. This should be prepared
with the support of both the Academic and Industrial
Supervisors.
Regular meetings with both
Supervisors is recommended to ensure progress is on target and essential
factors are not being missed. Delegates
are required to submit a time management plan with their formal proposal
and a three month progress report to the CPDA Office each quarter.
They will also be required to complete a Project Proposal Form
which confirms
support for the project proposal by the delegate's managers, the
Industrial and the Academic Supervisor. These forms will be issued
to the delegate by the CPDA Administrator (R&M.)
The delegate is required
to document all meetings with his / her Academic Supervisor. He /she
should record what was discussed at the meeting,
detailing any actions that had been agreed. This will enable both parties
to be clear about what actions are expected before the next meeting
and allow a record of correspondence between student and supervisor
to be logged should any discrepancies arise in the future. The student
is required to circulate these reports to the Academic and Industrial
Supervisor by email, copied to the CPDA Administrator (R&M), following
each meeting.
