Submitting The Project
There are two deadlines each year for project submission,
to meet the relevant Exam Boards. These dates are 15th March (May Exam
Board) and 15th August (October Exam Board). Late submissions will
be held until the next Exam Board. The Board aimed for is dependent
on the programme finishing date of the delegate. For example, if his/her
programme completes at the end of December, the project must be submitted
before this date. In this case, it will have met the March deadline
and will go forward to the May Exam Board.
The Academic Supervisor again has a major role to play in the submission.
A draft should be made available to him / her approximately one to
two months before the submission date (each Supervisor has different
criteria
so the stated period may change). The format of the project is given
in Q.IP.8:
Project Methodology and the Delegate’s
Handbook.
Finally, a Declaration
form needs
to be completed by the delegate and Academic and Industrial Supervisors,
allowing both
of the latter to declare whether or not they believe
the work has been completed solely by the student. The delegate must
also declare that this is his / her own work and indicate whether he/she
is happy for the CPDA Office to retain a copy of the dissertation
for their records.
