Writing the Project

The information collected, results obtained and the conclusions made, must be laid out following the CPDA guidelines. Please refer to Q.IP.8: Project Methodology.

Other useful documents are as follows:
Guide to writing a dissertation - Peter White, Bristol Business School, University of the West of England
MSc PhD Guidelines - Prof. Jim Scanlan, University of Southampton
Ashby - How to write a paper - Mike Ashby, University of Cambridge

It is often reported at the CPDA Examination Board, where the dissertations are assessed, that delegates have not included the appropriate sections within their dissertations. We have therefore put together a checklist of the various sections that are appropriate for both assignments and dissertations. Delegates may find it useful to just run through this checklist to make sure they have included these. This list is not extensive and all delegates are encouraged to approach their academic supervisors regarding the writing up and presentation of their dissertations.
