Sir Henry Royce Bursary

This bursary was set up in 1995 by the Sir Henry Royce Memorial Foundation to mark the 10th Anniversary of the Panasonic Trust. The bursary is designed to support suitably qualified engineers enrolled on engineering part-time modular Masters courses.

To be eligible for the award of a bursary, an applicant must:

  • Be a UK citizen;
  • Be qualified to degree level in engineering, or the equivalent. All UK CPDA applicants would meet this criteria;
  • Have membership, at any grade, of an engineering institution;
  • Be working at the professional level in engineering and have had several years work experience at this level;
  • Each bursary has a financial value of £1000 and is paid as a lump sum. It covers study on the first year of the course only. Awardees will, however, be able to apply for financial support from the Panasonic Trust to enable them to complete their studies.

Each awardee will receive a commemorative certificate and, on successful completion of studies and award of the degree, a medal from the Sir Henry Royce Memorial Foundation.

Information for Applicants and Employers, plus application forms, are available from the CPDA Office or you can contact the Panasonic Trust directly:
