The CPDA Programme
The CPDA programme provides
a basis for selection depending on the delegates educational qualifications,
professional experience and career aspirations. The aim is to enable
delegates to broaden their technical knowledge whilst developing their
management and business skills.
Short Courses
Any of our modules can be attended as a stand-alone course. It is recommended
that short course attendees complete the post module assignment to
consolidate
learning. In addition subsequent enrolment and conversion to the Certificate,
Diploma or MSc is possible subject to the normal entry requirements.
Modules may also be used towards courses at other academic institutes
again subject to the conditions of that particular institute. To book
on to a module as a short course attendee, please complete and return
the Short
Course application form 2008-2009

Over 35 modules are offered as part of the main CPDA programme within
the areas of Aerospace, Design, Manufacture and Management. 95% of these
modules are held in Bristol. The main venues being at the University
of Bristol, the University of the West of England and Engineers' House,
Clifton. Other external venues include Swansea University.
The modules are run on a one week basis (Monday-Friday) unless stated
otherwise. Each module amounts to 100hrs of work. The breakdown of time
spent on each module is along the lines of 10-15 hours on pre-module
work, 35 hours of module including: lectures, case studies, presentations,
discussions and group work and 55 hours on the Post Module Assignment
(PMA).
If modules are being selected as part of a Certificate, Diploma, MSc
