CPDA Structure
The CPDA scheme
is managed by:
The Industrial Advisory Board (IAB)
The purpose of the IAB is to consider how best the Scheme can meet the needs
of industry. Membership
is predominately organisation/company representatives, ensuring the CPDA remains
consistent with the skills required by industry. The IAB meets twice a year.
The Boards principle
tasks
include:
- To identify any changes
required to modules, topics for new modules, or modules which need
removing from the programme;
- To advise on appropriate
marketing mechanisms;
- To promote the benefits
of the Scheme and build appropriate relationships;
- To assist with the provision/identification
of industrial support for modules;
- To review the membership
of the IAB.
The Academic
Management Committee (AMC)
The purpose of the AMC is to provide academic leadership for the CPDA and ensure
the maintenance of academic standards. The AMC meets twice a year and it's
membership is predominately academic. The Committees principle tasks include:
- Providing academic leadership
for the Scheme;
- Monitoring the operation
of existing modules;
- Agreeing the module structure
for the following year;
- Ensuring the ongoing
development of new modules;
- Ensuring compliance with
the academic regulations and procedures of the member universities
of the Consortium;
- Ensure the appropriateness
of module sin light of prevailing QAA guidelines.
The Operations Group
The Operations Group, will meet quite regularly and take on
the management board responsibilities, including dealing with the CPDA
finances.
